Yosef Muskin, Senior Associate, joined Newmark Associates CRE, in 2005. Prior to joining the Newmark team, he served for over 20 years, in executive positions as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Jewish Federations of Greater Clifton Passaic and MetroWest Federation respectively. Utilizing his executive management experience, Muskin brings to Newmark Associates proven success in forging long term, client relationships, marketing and negotiation skills, and expertise in budget and operational management. Known for his diplomacy, creative thinking, integrity and keen understanding in navigating and closing complex transactions, Mr. Muskin specializes in office, medical, industrial and non-profit entity lease and sale transactions. His focus is the Northern and Central New Jersey markets concentrating on Essex, Morris, Passaic, Union, Hudson and Bergen counties. Born in New York City, Muskin was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, returning to New York to attend college where he graduated magna cum laude from Queens College, CUNY, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He continued graduate work as a recipient of the FEREP scholarship award (Federation Executive Recruitment Education Program) where he obtained his Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree in Community Organization from Wurzweiler, Yeshiva University. Outside the commercial real estate realm, Muskin has also been President of MY Consulting, dedicated to assisting non-profits in the improvement of organizational, development and program effectiveness. Proficient and trained in liturgical music, Muskin has served as a Cantor, leading services at prominent congregations throughout North America. Mr. Muskin also volunteers time at his Congregation AABJ&D in West Orange, where he coordinates daily services and serves as co-chair of the annual Community Passover Fund for the needy. Additionally, he is active in NORPAC, the nonpartisan political action committee dedicated to strengthening the US/Israel partnership. Married with three daughters and six grandchildren, he enjoys cardio workouts, walking, biking and swimming.
