Allied Properties Real Estate Investment Trust is a publicly traded Canadian REIT (TSX: AP.UN) founded in 2002 and taken public in 2003. The REIT owns and operates urban workspace in Canada's major cities through three property formats: Allied Heritage, which consists of Class I workspace created through adaptive reuse of light industrial structures featuring exposed structural frames, high ceilings, and natural light; Allied Modern, comprising mid-rise to high-rise purpose-built workspace structures; and Allied Flex, buildings on underutilized land slated for redevelopment within 5 to 10 years. The REIT also operates Allied Home rental residential properties in Toronto and Calgary and Allied Amenities, which include fitness facilities, event spaces, and conference centres. As of 2025, Allied owned properties totaling approximately 15 million square feet across six Canadian markets: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Kitchener, and Edmonton. The portfolio serves knowledge-based organizations across IT, banking, government, marketing, and telecommunications sectors.
