Bingham Realty, Inc. (BRI) was established in 1974 by James H Bingham as a Real Estate Brokerage and Management Company specializing in Citrus Grove properties in Central Florida. The company acquired and managed orange groves for individuals and investment groups until 1983 when a historic freeze killed the majority of the citrus groves in Central Florida. BRI began developing these former grove properties into multi family and retail projects. These developments were then managed for small investment groups with James H Bingham as a principal. The company continued to maintain an active brokerage business and the management of those properties developed by BRI. The company’s retail developments expanded from small unachored retail shops to large, major tenant anchored centers in 1989 with the completion of Townview Square, in Zephyrhills, Florida and subsequent major anchored shopping centers.
