Dorado Development Company was founded in 1999 for the purpose of developing, owning, and managing strategically located shopping centers and single-tenant retail properties. Founded by David M. Cummings III, the company began developing and redeveloping shopping centers in and around San Antonio and various mid-markets in Central and South Texas. To date, Dorado Development Company has developed over 2.5 million square feet of retail developments and currently has approximately 600,000 SF of retail and service center flex space under ownership and management. At present Dorado is focused on the development of strategically located retail and industrial properties anywhere from 5,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet and is also looking to grow its third party management, on a selective basis.
