Leon County Research & Development Authority - Tallahassee, FL

The Leon County Research and Development Authority (LCRDA) owns buildings in and manages Innovation Park. The LCRDA is governed by a Board of Governors comprised of prominent academic, business, and community leaders who work together to facilitate the growth and development of research into high-tech businesses in Innovation Park. The mission of the LCRDA is to promote scientific research and development activities, foster economic development, and broaden the economic base of Leon County by working in affiliation with local governmant and with Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee Community College. The LCRDA is a State Special District Authorized by FS Chapter 159 Part V, and was created by Leon County Ordinance. While the LCRDA is part of county government, all funding comes from lease-related revenues. It receives NO tax dollars.
