He has worked in the commercial real estate industry for more than 15 years, serving in a variety of marketing, content and communications roles for companies that include Newmark Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield. He has also previously held positions as an adjunct professor, music critic and editor-in-chief of an online arts and culture publication.

Daniel obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from Colgate University and earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.
