Linda Moss is a senior staff writer at CoStar News, covering the national retail real estate beat as well as New Jersey commercial real estate news. Based in Florham Park, New Jersey, she covers all sectors of commercial real estate in the Garden State, concentrating primarily on North Jersey. Moss has done business and financial writing for most of her career at publications such as Crain’s New York Business, the cable TV trade bible Multichannel News, Advertising Age, NJSpotlight.com, The Record in New Jersey and Montclair Local, which unseated an incumbent weekly in that town.

A New Jersey native, Moss has been part of the startup teams of three news organizations, namely Crain’s New York Business, Montclair Local and CoStar News.

She won a Gerald Loeb Award, which recognizes excellence in business and financial journalism, for “A Requiem for Fashion,” an analysis of the impact of AIDS on the fashion industry in New York City. And Moss recently received an honorable mention in the National Association of Real Estate Editors annual awards.

A graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Moss also writes The Homeshoppingista, a blog on the home-shopping industry, and is an expert on hairless cats.
